Designers Hila and Kristian Aadnevik would like to present their new collection inspired by the wilderness of the African continent. It’s a world of sublime beauty and danger, where the old myths believed that the earth is the mother goddess and only animals understand and obey the earth. “ Our muse for this collection is one of the rarest animals in the world; the majestic Acinonyx Rex; the King Cheetah only seen in the wild 6 times through out history – adorned with 3 dark stripes from the neck to the tail. Admired for her beauty and courage, the black tears also tell the story of sadness from the past. For us, the muse represents the many contrasting mysteries, emotions and virtues of the wild “. Hand-beaded native African patterns in red, blue, yellow, red and silver are contrasted with soft layers of silk chiffon, while a printed gown features the black striped King Cheetah with white African body paint impression and French lace details. Light ostrich feathers in different shades of greens reflect earth and fertility against intricate lace patterns. All the creations are adorned with hand crafted AADNEVIK signature leather details.
